New Retail, Commercial and Sponsor Certification Requirement:
FYI, if you had been certified prior to the new customer certification program, you are no longer grandfathered. If you want to be able to receive assigned customers in
the Sponsor, Commercial and Retailer/Installer categories you will need to complete all of those basic trainings.
The good news is I knocked this out in one afternoon!
May 24, 2023 The Dealer Certification Program is in place to ensure AMSOIL customers connect with active, knowledgeable Dealers
who provide a satisfying experience. It benefits Dealers by providing powerful support from AMSOIL to help you build your business. To provide the best experience for customers and reward Dealers who are actively growing their Dealerships, we have updated the requirements for Dealer Certification.
What’s Changing
In the past, earning Retail, Commercial or Sponsor Certification required being Customer Certified, taking the relevant Basic Training course and having at least one retail account, commercial account or sponsored Dealer, respectively. Moving forward, becoming Retail, Commercial or Sponsor Certified requires at least one new qualified retail account, commercial account or sponsored Dealer, respectively, in addition to being Customer Certified and taking the
relevant Basic Training course. All the requirements are clearly laid out here.
A qualified new Dealer or account is a Dealer, Retailer/Installer account or Commercial account that you personally registered within the past 12 months who purchases at least $100 in AMSOIL products (U.S. wholesale value) within 12 months of registering. Assigned Dealers and accounts do not count.

Have your business phone line with a professional greeting. If you are working another job, be
sure to have the ability for someone to leave a message or offer for them to text you.
Don't want to use your cell phone as your business number? Consider setting up a Google Voice number. It's free and you can call, text via that number. You can download the google voice app and monitor messages from your cell phone. There is also a way for your google voice number to show on your caller ID so

In the old AMSOIL Dealer training manual on sponsoring there was a quote that
was embedded into my brain. Sell for todays income, sponsor for tomorrows income. I took this to heart and built a large customer base all the while I offered the AMSOIL business opportunity to anyone who I thought might be interested. If they said no, that was okay. I did my part by offering.
Fast forward to today, we still have a large customer base as well as many successful dealers on our
team. If you don't feel like you have been as successful as you would like to be. We can help you, but first you must take the steps necessary for success. AMSOIL offers tons of sales training in the dealers zone. Start there. Then make a list of every business that has vehicles or equipment. Let them know who you are and see if they are interested. Also make a list of all the retailers/installers in your area. We now have google to do this. I'm still surprised on the amount of businesses and
even individuals that haven't heard about AMSOIL.
Follow-up. Once you make contact, have a plan to follow up. Depending on the customers interest level this could be weekly, monthly semi-annually or annually. Don't be pushy, but also don't hesitate to ask for the sale or for them to setup a factory direct account with you. One of our top Accounts (Large Harley Davidson Dealer in our town, took
years to get registered. ) They buy over $30 in products from us now. That's a nice account!
Sponsoring! Learn how to sponsor, duplication allows you to build your business fast! Help new dealers get started, let them know the importance of training and certifications. One of my favorite speakers, Jim Rohn used to talk about recruiting and they types of people.
30, 60 and 100% Type of People Some people do 30%. And some do 60%. And some do 100%.
This is just the way it is. Don’t get caught up in this. Don’t try to get the 30s to do 60. Let the 30s do 30 and let the 60s do 60 and 100 to do
100. Some will, some won't so what. Just keep moving forward.
Word of caution, you can't make people do anything. It's like herding cats. They have a mind of their own. You have to practice patience, be available, offer assistance and keep on doing what you are doing. That is the key to success in AMSOIL

HOW DO I CREATE A DEALER-NUMBER TRANSFERRING LINK TO A PAGE ON AMSOIL.COM, AMSOIL.CA OR BLOG.AMSOIL.COM?
Dealer-number transferring links are URLs to corporate AMSOIL webpages
with your Dealer number attached.
These links allow you to direct prospective customers and Dealers to the information they need while also keeping them connected to you as a Dealer and ensuring you receive commissions on any purchase they make.
Sending an email or message from your device: • Navigate to the target page on AMSOIL.com, AMSOIL.ca or blog.AMSOIL.com. •
Highlight the complete URL from the navigation bar in the web browser. • Hold Ctrl-C to copy. • Hold Ctrl-V to paste URL into personalized email, text or direct message. • Add “?zo=1234567” to the end of the URL (use your actual Dealer number). • If there is already a question mark anywhere in the URL you selected, use an “&” instead of a question mark. • The link should appear with blue underlined text.
Here are examples of how to use a Dealer-number transferring link to quickly and effectively communicate with your customers, friends and prospects:
Scenario: You’re working a car show event and Jim, the owner of a lawn maintenance business, asks about AMSOIL products. You’re busy and don’t have the proper literature available. You ask for an email address or mobile number so you can send him information pertaining to his
specific business and equipment.

As a business owner you would save about 25 percent if you registered for a free commercial account. Let me know if I can help in any way. Many times I'll take a screen shot of the registration page for getting their account login and highlight where it lists us as their servicing dealer
If possible I also offer to help them setup their account to make sure it's done right.
Unfortunately how the internet cookies works if they were to click on another dealers site/link then setup their account they may accidentally get tied to that previous dealer. If you don't catch it within 30 days after their registration you won't be
able to switch them to you. Keep this in mind.
Are you using QR codes?
Many people today are using QR codes for printed material. We recently did a tradeshow and made stickers with a QR code on the back so that people could easily register with us.

People buy from those the know, like and trust. Building better relationships with your customers will go a long way to help retain them as well as get referrals. Be sure to find ways to say
thank you, that could be via text, email, phone calls and even real greeting cards in the mail.
