Tracking your progress! AMSOIL helps you with this!
Are you setting goals in your AMSOIL Business? It's important to have weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly goals. How many customers are you getting each week? Month etc. This can vary according your AMSOIL time commitments as well as your activities. Working
event may allow you to get several customers in one weekend. Secondly, the kind of customers you are working with make a difference. Commercial and Retailer/Installer accounts take more work and more time.
When you log into the AMSOIL dealers zone, click on the reports section to see your year to date sales achievements, your current qualified customers and your customer certification level. You can then see a lot of other
information about your business. Total sales for the month, active personal customers and at the bottom you can see your personal volume and your team volume if you have sponsored other dealers.
Compare what you did last month, or last year and see how you can do better.
The key with AMSOIL, is that the more you do, the easier it becomes. The first few customers
are always the hardest.
What's your Niche?
It's always good to have one or several niches that you focus your efforts on. First start by focusing on what interests you the most.
For us we like working with small business owners especially in the lawncare and landscaper market
as well as contactors and farmers.
In the past we had a lot of motorcycle accounts and customers because I was an avid cyclist. We still work with a lot of those previous customers and accounts, but don't focus on those as much for new business.
Over time your focus may change and that is okay.
Become a Product of the Products.
What does that mean? Being a product of the product means using AMSOIL products yourself. This will help you gain confidence as well as help mold a story or testimonial that you personally experienced. Customers can tell when you have a great story to share.
We find it odd that many dealers have zero in personal sales for the last 12 months. This means that dealers register, but never even purchase the products for their own vehicles and equipment.
Start using the products yourself and I believe you will see your confidence and your sales grow. Whatever you drive AMSOIL makes a product for you. We especially love fuel
additives because they can make a huge difference right away.
Demo Product / Give Always
Piggybacking on being a product of the products and using the products yourself. Sometimes it's a good idea to let serious prospects try out AMSOIL products as a demo or give away. We've given out hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of products. Some products we like to give away
are:
AMSOIL Saber 2 cycle packets
Quick Shot
Performance Improver P.i.
Metal Protector
Heavy Duty Metal Protector
Tubes of grease
Spray Grease
Diesel Clean or Diesel clean + Cetane Boost
Muddslinger
Spray Silicone
Just to name a few. We always keep a case of MP around, that product has opened many a "squeaky" door if you know what I
mean. I've even shown mechanics how to quickly get dirt and grime off their hands using MP and rag. It really will cut grease and carbon on ones hands.
Increasing your business increases your cash rewards!

HOW DO I CREATE A DEALER-NUMBER TRANSFERRING LINK TO A PAGE ON AMSOIL.COM, AMSOIL.CA OR BLOG.AMSOIL.COM?
Dealer-number transferring links are URLs to corporate AMSOIL webpages with your Dealer number attached.
These
links allow you to direct prospective customers and Dealers to the information they need while also keeping them connected to you as a Dealer and ensuring you receive commissions on any purchase they make.
Sending an email or message from your device: • Navigate to the target page on AMSOIL.com, AMSOIL.ca or blog.AMSOIL.com. • Highlight the complete URL from the navigation bar in the web browser. • Hold Ctrl-C to copy. • Hold
Ctrl-V to paste URL into personalized email, text or direct message. • Add “?zo=1234567” to the end of the URL (use your actual Dealer number). • If there is already a question mark anywhere in the URL you selected, use an “&” instead of a question mark. • The link should appear with blue underlined text.
Here are examples of how to use a Dealer-number transferring link to quickly and effectively communicate with
your customers, friends and prospects:
Scenario: You’re working a car show event and Jim, the owner of a lawn maintenance business, asks about AMSOIL products. You’re busy and don’t have the proper literature available. You ask for an email address or mobile number so you can send him information pertaining to his specific business and equipment.
Text or email message: Jim, I enjoyed speaking with you yesterday. Follow
the link below to learn more about AMSOIL products for your business. As a business owner you would save about 25 percent if you registered for a free commercial account. Let me know if I can help in any way. Thanks. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-category/commercial-vehicle-lubricants/?zo=5027237 John Doe Independent AMSOIL

Scenario: You want to create a post on your Facebook page about motorcycle products.
Post: Summer’s just around the corner, and it’s almost time to break out your motorcycle. Whether you’re into American Iron, metric or dirt bikes, AMSOIL offers the best synthetic lubricants and filters for your motorcycle.
If you need help with this please don't hesitate to reach out. It's very important that you do what you can to ensure customers come to you.
Many times I'll take a screen shot of the registration page for getting their account login and highlight where it lists us as their servicing dealer
If possible I also offer to help them setup their account to make sure it's done right.
Unfortunately how the internet cookies works if they were to click on another dealers
site/link then setup their account they may accidentally get tied to that previous dealer. If you don't catch it within 30 days after their registration you won't be able to switch them to you. Keep this in mind.
You can also join our secret Sparks Team group to connect with, ask questions and interact with others on our team. You must contact me for access to this group. Join Our Facebook Group
Do you show appreciation to your current customers?
People buy from those the know, like and trust. Building better relationships with your customers will go a long way to help retain them as well as get referrals. Be sure to find ways to say thank you, that could be via text, email, phone calls and even real
greeting cards in the mail.
You could use the AMSOIL Notepads to a nice letter to your customers
You can also order personalized note/thank you cards, stationary and envelops in the dealers Print Center
Since about 2005 we've been using a system called SendOutCards that allows you to efficiently and easily create thank you cards that are sent on your behalf. appreciatemycustomers.com/
