“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.” ― African proverb
I thought the above saying would be appropriate for this months AMSOIL Dealer Newsletter. One of our biggest joys of the AMSOIL Business Opportunity is the relationships we've created with dealers on our team. We couldn't dream of doing this alone.
We speak to dealers on our team almost daily. We would love to hear from you if
you would like to seek mentorship or just want to learn how to build your business. Reach out! We don't bite I promise!
Have you taken the Sponsorship Training Module? Learning the reasons why it is beneficial to build an AMSOIL team could help you achieve higher levels of success.
We've always liked this quote from an old AMSOIL Dealer training manual. "Sell for
Today's Income, Sponsor for Tomorrow's Income" Meaning there may come a day when you can no longer work your business. A large and growing dealer team may help level out or increase your income as you get older.
Great news! The new installer program is now up and running. The Premier listings for installers that have purchased more than $25,000 annually are show on the AMSOIL Locator. Take advantage of the new installer program catalog if you are out
prospecting in your area. You can order these catalogs and use this tool to help potential installers understand working with you and AMSOIL can help them increase their bottom line and attract more High Value customers to their shop.
At the 45th AMSOIL Convention, we had our good friend and mentor Todd Falcone give a great presentation about growing your AMSOIL Business. One way was to find Facebook groups in things you are interested in. Be it cars, lawn care, racing, blue collar
businesses etc. There are tens of thousands of groups. Learn this important idea without being spammy or overbearing and you can find some new dealers, customers and accounts using Facebook groups.
Did you know AMSOIL has a great tool to help you help your customers get in the right program that works for them? Many times people (especially business owners) will try to become a Dealer because that's what
it's called when they sell Batteries, Tires, etc. Right? We're an Interstate Battery Dealer...But in AMSOIL terms they would be a Retailer/Installer.
Using this AMSOIL program wizard takes the confusion away from the right type of account with just a few clickable questions. This Program Wizard will guide them to the right program of being either a Dealer/Retailer or a PC/Commercial account
depending on how they answer. You can link directly to that page on AMSOIL.com with your ZO number attached like so (just change your ZO number after the ?zo=XXXXX
We thought this tool was so cool we even made a page on our website about it to help people get in the right program. Feel free to create your own as well.
This months new blog post on our website helps educate customers on the importance of reducing friction, which is an oil's most important job. Check it out.
Since AMSOIL is now heavily promoting the Retailer and Installer programs. Maybe it's a good time to think about marketing the AMSOIL business opportunity to folks that might be interested in focusing more on those programs.
As far as I know, there are no other business opportunities that allow someone to become a 1099 independent contractor for $50 that allows you to work B2B. This is one of the reasons we became dealers back in 2000. It was because we could work with business owners. We primarily focused on the Retailer market back then, and our mentor and DJ, Jim Ball used to say. Get 100 Retailer accounts doing $100 a week in AMSOIL. That's $10,000 in sales per week. As a Direct Jobber
you would make about 20% or $2000 a week. There are 52 weeks in a year or $104,000 per year in income.
There are no income limits as an AMSOIL dealer. The only limit is what you see in the mirror. With the new Installer program the Retailer and Installer program has gotten even better. Can you imagine an Installer doing $25,000 a year in sales? That is $480 per week. What if you had 100 of those accounts? That looks to pencil out
to $9,615 per week in commissions. That's only about $500,000 in income to you.
Could you live on $500K per year?
Would you like to be a Retail focused dealer? Do you know others that are maintenance inclined, that have great people skills and know about equipment? Sponsor a few Retail focused dealers.
Here is a page I made on my website about it. I'll be updating it with some of the new Installer information soon.
The AMSOIL Installer Locator at www.amsoil.com is designed to help prospects find local businesses that install AMSOIL products. AMSOIL Dealers who operate retail businesses that install AMSOIL products may be eligible for the Installer Locator if the business meets similar requirements as AMSOIL retail
accounts:
-- Have a storefront with public access (Mobile Business Okay too) -- Be open to the public with regular business hours -- Sell and install associated products at retail prices -- Have a business telephone number, website and/or other promotional materials to support the existence of a full-time retail/installation business -- Maintain the same account product purchase requirements as AMSOIL retail accounts, or earn a minimum of $25 in AMSOIL commissions in the
previous six months
If you would like to apply to have your Dealership appear as an installer on the locator, click on the Installer Locator Application and follow the instructions to provide the necessary information to AMSOIL INC.
Eligibility Guidelines Please review the information AMSOIL has on file for each of the accounts listed here.

Note: Dealers that are approved will have to go into their Retail Account Admin portal and manage their own listing. Be sure to uncheck that box that says: Hide My AMSOIL Locator Page from Search Engines:
Sales.
Back in the day we used to have a great dealer training booklet that talks about selling I remember one specific section that talking about features and benefits. The saying went..."Features tell, Benefits sell." Learn the features and benefits of the AMSOIL products you want to sell then pump the benefits. They are listed on every
product page as well as in the data bulletins for the products. These data bulletins can be found under the technical specifications on each product page.
Remember, selling on price in most cases in not a good strategy. AMSOIL is rarely the least expensive product. AMSOIL products are performance based. They do offer a strong value, when you consider all the aspects of what each product can do. For instance being able to triple
your oil change interval would make our products much less expensive. Increasing fuel economy by 5%, could save equipment operators thousand of dollars per year. In most cases, fuel is the most expensive thing operators face.
Sales is your craft! What are you doing to get better at your craft? Consider reading some books (or listening if that is your thing) https://a.co/d/cygDG40
Google Business
If you don't have a google business profile for your AMSOIL business you should get one, even if you run another type of business. You can have multiple business profiles under one google log in. We have 3.
Are you in our private dealer group? Many experienced dealers on there to help you and give you ideas. Request to join if you are not yet a member: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1113058842070116

HOW DO I CREATE A DEALER-NUMBER TRANSFERRING LINK TO A PAGE ON AMSOIL.COM, AMSOIL.CA OR BLOG.AMSOIL.COM?
Dealer-number transferring links are URLs to corporate AMSOIL webpages with your Dealer number attached.
These
links allow you to direct prospective customers and Dealers to the information they need while also keeping them connected to you as a Dealer and ensuring you receive commissions on any purchase they make.
Sending an email or message from your device: • Navigate to the target page on AMSOIL.com, AMSOIL.ca or blog.AMSOIL.com. • Highlight the complete URL from the navigation bar in the web browser. • Hold Ctrl-C to copy. • Hold
Ctrl-V to paste URL into personalized email, text or direct message. • Add “?zo=1234567” to the end of the URL (use your actual Dealer number). • If there is already a question mark anywhere in the URL you selected, use an “&” instead of a question mark. • The link should appear with blue underlined text.
Here are examples of how to use a Dealer-number transferring link to quickly and effectively communicate with
your customers, friends and prospects:
Scenario: You’re working a car show event and Jim, the owner of a lawn maintenance business, asks about AMSOIL products. You’re busy and don’t have the proper literature available. You ask for an email address or mobile number so you can send him information pertaining to his specific business and equipment.
Text or email message: Jim, I enjoyed speaking with you yesterday. Follow
the link below to learn more about AMSOIL products for your business. As a business owner you would save about 25 percent if you registered for a free commercial account. Let me know if I can help in any way. Thanks. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-category/commercial-vehicle-lubricants/?zo=5027237 John Doe Independent AMSOIL
Dealer 999.888.7777 jdoe@test.com jdoilsite.com
Scenario: You want to create a post on your Facebook page about motorcycle products.
Post: Summer’s just around the corner, and it’s almost time to break out your motorcycle. Whether you’re into American Iron, metric or dirt bikes, AMSOIL offers the best synthetic lubricants and filters for your motorcycle.
If you need help with this please don't hesitate to reach out. It's very important that you do what you can to ensure customers come to you.
Many times I'll take a screen shot of the registration page for getting their account login and highlight where it lists us as their servicing dealer
If possible I also offer to help them setup their account to make sure it's done right.
Unfortunately how the internet cookies works if they were to click on another dealers
site/link then setup their account they may accidentally get tied to that previous dealer. If you don't catch it within 30 days after their registration you won't be able to switch them to you. Keep this in mind.
You can also join our secret Sparks Team group to connect with, ask questions and interact with others on our team. You must contact me for access to this group. Join Our Facebook Group
Do you show appreciation to your current customers?
People buy from those the know, like and trust. Building better relationships with your customers will go a long way to help retain them as well as get referrals. Be sure to find ways to say thank you, that could be via text, email, phone calls and even real
greeting cards in the mail.
You could use the AMSOIL Notepads to a nice letter to your customers
You can also order personalized note/thank you cards, stationary and envelops in the dealers Print Center
Since about 2005 we've been using a system called SendOutCards that allows you to efficiently and easily create thank you cards that are sent on your behalf. appreciatemycustomers.com/
