In many ways this is a good way to help dealers that may not be so interested in working at the business to become a preferred customer. Further separating the costs of the PC program and the dealer program could be a good thing. 

Note that many times we think we're interested in things, but maybe life gets in the way, or the good intentions of the moment turn out to be more than we're willing to handle in the future. 

Being an AMSOIL dealer could be no different. If it's not a good time for someone to be a dealer, maybe they should consider downgrading to become a PC...

Confusion between an AMSOIL Dealer and Retail/Installer Account. 

Lately we've been getting a lot of dealers that sign up only to find out they are shop owners who were looking to get set up as an AMSOIL Dealer (really a retailer) The terminology in the market is Dealer, But AMSOIL Inc terminology of a dealer is an Independent Business Owner. 

If you are an AMSOIL Dealer that owns a shop that just wants to purchase products for sale or installing, consider contacting AMSOIL Corp and get your business registered. Note that a dealer cannot register their own business as an account. You will need to go through your sponsor to setup that business.

AMSOIL Locator Listings

I have been checking out the AMSOIL locator almost daily. I've found some errors that have been reported to AMSOIL. The new release of the locator and the "Premier Installer" listing seems to have some bugs. Retail Stores that don't install are listed, Premier listings as dealers and other things. I've also seen accounts show up on the search for a town, but when you go to the State listings and click on that town there are not there. 

Are you listed on the AMSOIL Locator? If so, be sure to check out your own listings. Secondly, there is a way to manage your personal profile, be sure if you have a website to have it listed there as well. I've notified several dealers on their team that their website was missing. https://my.amsoil.com/dealer/profile/locator-settings/

Secondly be sure to manage your ROTS customers, which you can do in the dealer.

Track your sales achievements and work towards the next level

AMSOIL stresses the importance of continually building your AMSOIL Business. They even put it in writing as well as offer bonuses for dealers that reach higher levels. Back in the day, we always strived to move up at least one level per year. In the beginning this was pretty easy, after all going from 5 customers to 10 customers is effectively doubling your business. At our level it may take longer, but we are always working on getting new customers and helping our current customers learn about and use more AMSOIL products. Check out the chart below. Then log into your dealer dashboard to see what you need for the next sales achievement category. Those bonuses are pretty sweet too!

AMSOIL Preferred Customer Vs. Commercial Account for Small Business Owners

We recently ran into a situation where one of our commercial accounts was getting promotional email for the monthly PC give-a-ways. They called and complained that the promo code didn't work. Come to find out they were a PC in the past and once we determined they owned a business we encouraged them to become a Commercial Account. Then we started looking at their order history and determined for the amounts they order they probably should have stayed as a PC. They order enough throughout the year to earn a free PC membership and their orders throughout the year are about $200. Well below the requirement for free shipping as a commercial account. So they are paying $13.99 shipping. This made me realize to better qualify a commercial business to determine how much they plan on ordering. Do you show appreciation to your current customers?
