Many of us focus on our technical knowledge of AMSOIL products as well as polishing our sales skills. But do you concentrate on other skills. I found a great article on "Soft Skills" I had never heard of this term prior to a few weeks ago. But I do work on many of these skills on a regular basis.

Ever heard of the "Three Foot Rule" in sales?

If someone comes within 3 feet of you, it should be your duty to connect with them. While it's about sales, it's not about selling someone right on the spot. Along with meeting new people and connecting with them (this is easier to do than ever with social media) you will also want to have your 45 second or "elevator pitch" ready when they ask you what you do. 

  • Make being friendly a habit
  • Be a good listener
  • Have a business card
  • Have a 30-second commercial prepared
