Failure is inevitable!
If you are striving to build your AMSOIL business, you will fail...Our schools teach that failure (Getting an F) is bad, but that is how we learn. Making mistakes and figuring things out is part of it.
Don't be afraid to try new things. If you come up with a new idea give it a try, it may work and it may not. But you don't know until you try.
Some things aren't a failure but they just don't work like you thought. Take for instance the AMSOIL Dealer training call, podcast and training website. www.accountdirect.lube-direct.com
My hope for this was a resource for AMSOIL dealers to learn how to become more successful, but also to attract new people to the business opportunity. I can count on one hand how many that found that site and wanted to work with us. Did it fail? No, but just didn't go as I thought it would.
Dealer training calls, for 4 years I held a dealer training call. Over the years I would have more dealers not on our team calling in than from the team. I finally caved and now only record a podcast type of program. Maybe in the future we'll do more with it.
When trying something new be sure to give it time. Some things don't work out in the beginning for whatever reason, but all of a sudden a new piece of the puzzle or a new technique can help you overcome the adversity.
For instance doing trade shows, you may do one or two shows and think it's not worth your time. do a few more find new ways and see what happens.
The same can be said for internet marketing...My website has been building since 2008. I have hundreds of pages of contents, which helps me in search engine rankings, most of my new customers come from the website. But if I would have stopped back in 2009 I would have never known if it would succeed.
Discuss with your sponsor, your mentor, AMSOIL Inc or some other coach when you think things are not working out. They may offer ideas to help you or decide maybe it's time to throw in the towel...hanging on to something that isn't working can be just as bad. "You've got to know when to hold'em, and know when to fold'em...Know when to walk away and know when to run...." ~Kenny Rogers -(1938-2020), RIP; The Gambler...
Failure is inevitable! The Key is what are you going to do about it!
