We're in good hands. A call with Alan Amatuzio
Earlier this month I received a call from Alan Amatuzio's assistant...I thought uh oh, I'm in trouble or getting an award! No, she said as she was chuckling, she said that Alan wanted to have a web conference with me about the future direction of AMSOIL. I said, but of course, I'm all in and would love to hear what Alan had to say.
Alecia and I sat down to listen to Alan give us his vision for the company. He has many great long term goals, which include us as the AMSOIL dealer network. This is great news!
AMSOIL continues to lay the groundwork to help more dealers become successful with the business opportunity. Of course you can see this with the amount of training and tools available to all dealers.
In the August 2020 issue of the AMSOIL Dealer magazine you can read for yourself some of what we talked about. Alan wanted to assure to us that we are a vital component to the success of the company. We are the face and the sales force to help get our products to market.
The AMSOIL Vision is:
- A successful AMSOIL dealer in every town
- AMSOIL products in every garage
- Every AMSOIL customer is family
That being said, after seeing several slides that Alan presented with how volatile the consumer market had gotten during the plandemic. Many sales basically slid off a cliff for several weeks/months when this first hit. Alan explained that the company needs to have a way to continue to grow but also to be able to keep diversifying business. This is why there is a need for the new Industrial and OEM market they are pursuing.
We have been dealers for over 20 years now, and have had training in commercial accounts, but these proved very difficult to work. You could work for years on these and still never land them. Or you could finally get a large industrial account, then lose it the next year, because some "bean counter" in accounting said it was too expensive..(Yes we had this happen) even though our product lasted longer and saved downtime.
That being said, we believe that AMSOIL being able to tackle these larger industrial accounts that would be way to much for any one dealer to work with as well as OEM opportunities which could have a huge impact for dealer (say a motorcycle manufacture or something like that. You see these already with the Corvette that comes with Mobil 1 stickers or Motorex that is the KTM required fluid. There is nothing better to see your brand in the owners manual or on the equipment that says Use only
AMSOIL!
