We have been with AMSOIL over 20 years now and are planning on the next 20 years. AMSOIL as a company has a bright future with many new products! There is no lack for training opportunities to help you increase your business. 

RETAILER Co-op Credits Expire Soon! 

 

Don't forget if you have any Retailers (ROTS, Installers, Quick Lubes etc.) and they have co-op credits to purchase promotional materials their co-op credits expire at the end of December. 

 

AMSOIL changed the program a couple years ago, where each account can use their co-op base on last years purchase for the following year. 

 

So Jan 1. the old credits 2019 credits go away and the 2020 based credits will be applied. 

 

Some of our accounts we call and ask what they want, others we just send them stuff. Pens and notepaper are good choices. 

 

Note that any co-op purchases over $20 are free shipping (unless the product you want to order has an associated weight to it, then they charge shipping) so things like mugs, calendars, etc. have shipping, Things like clothing, pens, stickers etc. don't have shipping. We try to maximize our orders for the smaller amounts of co-op. 

 

Accounts that have less than $20 we don't really fuss with, Though some asked for something like a hat and we'll kick in the extra and get it for them. I had one that wanted a hoodie, cost me like $12 out of my pocket but it was worth the investment to them. 

 

Take care of your retailers and they will take care of you. 

 

Don't forget you can purchase signs, banners, shelving, stickers, hats, shirts, maintenance  reminders, all kinds of things with co-op. 

 

To find out how many co-op credits your accounts have, log into the dealers zone, click on reports, then click on PDF reports...You will see one that says:  "Co-op Credit Summary"

 

That will bring up all your ROTS accounts and how many each account has. We call some as ask what they want, or we help them log in and buy their own. Either way this is a benefit your accounts earned, you should encourage them to take full advantage of this.

Harnessing the power of the internet can be a great place to find new customers and build better customer relationships with your current customers. With all the drama now on facebook, we've been wonder if we should create our own private community website? There are some plug and play tools to help us create this. The only problem is I see not much action on the facebook one now and would there be enough of us using it to make it worth the trouble of keeping up. What are your thoughts?

Why we use AWEBER email service for our email newsletters to our dealers, our Catalog/PC's, our Commercial Accounts and our ROTS. We didn't do this at first. If we had it to do over we would have integrated email newsletters right away! 

 

 

Customer Certified is where you want to be. 

 

Maintaining customer certification can seem like a daunting challenge for many new dealers. I know this when we first got started, we were not adding many customers on a monthly basis. This all changed when we got serious about it. Our goal for the last few years is to have 10 new customers per 30 days...We have been able to do this through our AMSOIL activities. We use all kinds of marketing like online, offline, face to face, referrals etc. 

 

We most like the kind of marketing that works for us 27/7. That means our website and our google presence. This takes some upfront effort that may not show up immediately in new customers, but over time it will continue to work for you while without much ongoing effort. Consider implementing Video on Youtube. Consider making a blog on your website. Consider getting your Google business listing up and running and ask for referrals. This is key to the long term success of your business.

It's easy to upload customer emails via the AMSOIL dealer label report found in the dealers zone. 

 

The biggest pain for most people is keeping good records for taxes. We had this frustration early on and used to keep receipts in a shoe box. This would drive our accountant nuts (as well as cost us a lot of money having them add up all the receipts) We found a solution, now with the power of smart phones we can keep track of mileage, receipts and even our Income. Then at the end of the year we have one file to give to the accountant and all the info is there. Saves us a lot of money! 

 

We use a product called TAXBOT. It was developed by Sandy Botkin a CPA and former Attorney for the IRS who has taught hundreds of thousands of taxpayers how to save on their taxes with his Tax Reduction Institute seminars.
