COVID-19
No matter your stance on the economic disaster created by the recent pandemic, AMSOIL remains open for business and ready to help you and the dealer network get more customers, sell more oil and earn more money!
We started our AMSOIL business way back in the year 2000 (Nov 1999 to be exact) and immediately went out gathering customers and accounts. We took the T-1 certification (now called dealer certification) right away. We registered our first ROTS account in Jan of 2000. I remember it like it was yesterday! Living In El Paso texas at the time, I went to the closest motorcycle shop to my house. I walked in (I was scared and my stomach was in knots) but I managed to offer them the
opportunity to sell AMSOIL products. They weren't very interested at the time (we didn't even have a motorcycle oil back then) but I asked them to do me a favor, just register for an account they don't even have to order if they don't want to.
Well they said yes and I was happy. It took me several months of visiting and showing them products and helping them understand AMSOIL. They actually started out with our Two-Stroke Racing Oil. Can you believe they are still an active buying account? They average $500-$750 per year in orders. At the DJ level that's about 20% or somewhere between $100-$150 per year. Think about this, how much money would you need in savings to earn $150 per year in interest? Probably a lot. This account
has been like an annuity to our business. It pays us year in and year out.
We've done this with hundreds of accounts. Probably thousands when you think about all the accounts that we've registered over the years. Sure some don't buy, but many do. Sure some business go out of business, that's just the way business works. Some people even die (we've had several dealers on our team pass away and that's tragic)
What we do, we keep gathering customers. We work our business every day. We follow up with current customers, we try to stay in touch. We use social media and other online sources to help promote our Commercial and ROTS accounts. We help the dealers that want it to become more successful.
We can't help them all (some don't want our help, and that's fine too) but we're here when / if they need us. I continue to stay available.
We are continually grateful for you and the business that you are building. We are here to help you no matter what your circumstance is.
I know it may sound in bad taste to push the business opportunity to people, and in some ways today is a little to late if someone has lost their job due to this economic mess, but when is the best time? Just like planting a tree, the best time to start your AMSOIL business was 20 years ago (and I said that when I got started too) but the second best time is NOW! If you are already registered as a dealer, well just get started. If you haven't registered, where else can you start a
legitimate business for around $100? Yes I know it's only $50 to register, but you'll want the website and maybe a few catalogs, of course some AMSOIL clothing and hats.
Think about this, many businesses have high overhead costs. (think about the restaurants) with an AMSOIL business you don't need overhead. Sure if you stock products you might have some money wrapped up in that as well as things like cell phone, websites, internet etc. Many of those expenses you would have had anyhow.
Getting started or restarted is easy. Take a look at the AMSOIL Dealer Gameplan for ideas and goals to implement into your business.
